I’m trying to figure out what to do. I have a 73 MGB that is a rolling tub/shell. The shell has 72,000 miles and has never been hit. I have a clean title for it also. I was going to restore to sell for fun but I just don’t have the time to get to it. The tub is in very good condition. The sills inner / outer, rockers, doglegs, fenders, front valance and doors are all rust free. The tub has no rust except for the floor pans. Pans are 97% good but do have a few holes the biggest is the size of a dime. My plan was to replace pans just because that’s the way I do things but now that I’m thinking about selling not sure it’s worth replacing.
My first question is what would a rolling shell be worth to someone who wanted to avoid the cost of major rust repair?
My second question should I replace floor pans, patch floor pans, or sell like it is?
On a side note the hood is aluminum and is good as they get. The trunk lid should be replaced because of a large dent that is a true shame because it’s perfect otherwise.
The plus side of selling this project is I would get to keep some cool parts for my B like the OD transmission and lots of new in the box parts.
