Thanx for sharing, Jim. Looks good! The Griffin rad looks nicer than my Wizard. I really like that oil cooler bracket! What fuel pump do you plan on using? I'm considering a Facet.

I was looking at the facet also. The big problem is that the strombergs only like about 2-2.5 lbs. pressure. Trying to find a regulator that goes that low and can mount on the block off plate. the bracket is homemade. I have an 8' break and shear at the shop and .040 aluminum sheet.

The low pressure metal case Facet works fine with SU's, Strombergs or Webers without a regulator. But consider mounting it close to the tank as a "pusher" rather than where it has to haul fuel from "waay back there" to the carbs.

That's good to know. I can mount the fuel filter on that plate instead.

An alternative pump is a Carter #P60504. It was originally intended as a lift pump, to be submerged in the tank. We've put it on Jags with SU's and Strommies, Webers and suchlike with no issues. I have one on the Alfa Spider here and it's been several years trouble free. Weber 40 DCOE's.

Yes!!! It's an in-line deal when used on our cars.

Jim,

That'a nice!I want a GT6,but I'll have
to wait until I get rid of at least 4 cars.
There seems to be a lot of GT6's in the
Mass./Vermont area.Go to the Hemmings cruise-
in in Bennington. The chief editor has an early
GT6 that I got to see at one of them last year.

I have a pioneer radio with push button selects, knob controls and a cassette player. I want to keep it because it works and looks correct with the car.Does anyone know of a CD changer that would perhaps mount inline with the antenna and I can mount in the back out of sight?

Jim

Engine is now at Her Majesty's Service. Have the Carter electric fuel pump. I will post pictures of the installation of the pump. I think I found the perfect location. I am trying to make it look like a factory installation

Jim,

I've got to get over to Erik's and take a look at that engine. Maybe tomorrow.

I got the carter GP60504 at Summit Racing. Mounted it tight in chassis over rear axle. As far as the SAH cover is concerned, I got it about 30 years ago. I forgot exactly where. Here is a link to a photo showing the pump location.

Shortblock has been assembled by Eric at Her Majesty's Service. It is now being painted.
