71 TVR Vixen V8 Conversion

I've been away from this forum because nothing was going on. It's good to see some activity again. Very nice work JoeO, looks great. I'm still plugging away at my 63 Grantura restoration.

Hey Keith,

Hope your project is going well... I'm still working on my 71 Vixen.. Its drivable and I'm down to reworking the internals of the doors.. I just finished fitting the bonnet (New mounting points needed to be welded to the chassis)..

Perhaps you have seen it...There is an interesting Petrolicious video of a 63 Grantura... Its in French.. however, the sound of the engine and finish of the car truly do the marque justice..

Cheers

Greetings,

Its been a while since my last post.. I'm in the home stretch... Weather permitting I'll put more time in.. For sure licensed for the road by spring...

I need to figure out tires.. As far as wheels go I really do like the originals... however, if going with a different wheel means I can get meatier tires then that's a consideration...

Not sure I'll keep the chrome air filter housing... I'm not one for bling.. may swap that out.. Or maybe media blast and put a black wrinkle finish on it..
