TR6 71 TR6 Engine Color

I'm pretty sure it was silver. Let's see if some others agree.

My 71 had a black engine and a silver valve cover. My 75 TR6, 74 TVR and my spare 73 engine are all black engine with silver valve covers.

Thanks that is what I thought except I figured if it wasn't black Moss woulda had a rattle can with the exact proper color.

Although my TR4a has an engine block painted Battleship grey (because it was built by SAH), I believe that all Triumph engines were painted black from the factory.

The block is a semi gloss black. The valve cover is silver. I used the Moss silver for wire wheels paint and it seems to be a good match to the original color.
