It would be even weirder if you were going to be 63!

1/11/11 >> 11111 >> 31

The right-most bit is worth 1
The second bit, 2
then each bit going left doubles in value.

1 1 1 1 1=
0 0 0 0 1 +
0 0 0 2 0 +
0 0 4 0 0 +
0 8 0 0 0 +
16 0 0 0 0 =

16+8+4+2+1 = 31

101010 was my fave.

The truth of the matter is, I WAS born in 1948 and yes that makes me 63 on 11-11-11
Yes .... I have my tin foil hat handy for the occasion.

If the right-most bit was a 7 would it still be worth 1 or 7?

A "7" doesn't exist in base2... a HEX on you guys! :jester:

Are zeros, still zero in binary? In other words what would 101010 actually be?
