I just fitted wider wheels and tires to my car to fill out the aggressive flares. Looks like the rears still have an inch or so of space under the flares, while the fronts stick out, the right more than the left. When I measured, the front track is a full 3" wider than the rear. Any ideas how this came about? The car was originally set up for autocross, so was this some kind of chassis setup trick?

The stock front track is wider than the rear ... but I do not think it is 3". Maybe the rear end is actually for wire wheel axles?

Do the front wheels have any negative camber? -1 degree camber might help the look and the handling.
There might already be a little bit of negative camber. I don't know if it has those special bushings installed, but I do know the whole suspension has been gone through, I can see polyurethane bushings everywhere. I am considering modified upper trunnions to get more negative camber. I'm afraid the car might look "stanced" as the kids these days would appreciate.
I wonder if the variation between the front wheels' clearance might just be the way the flares were formed.
