John, I saw that thread, but that rust looked really scary. The downdraft Weber looked interesting, especially with "110 hp." Really, Seattle is just too far away. Oregon still has quite a few old British sports cars hiding away in back yards and barns.
What I could really use is a hardtop (well, a new soft top too), a decklid (mine has a big rust hole through the top from the previous owner storing it under a pine tree for years, where soggy pine needles focused the water right into a hole), and trunk trim. Does anyone have _true_ parts cars with those sorts of parts I can buy? Wrecking yards just don't have British cars anymore.
Oh, I need to replace or patch my floor too, but that is a totally different kind of job. I've got to brush up on my welding skills for that one.
Still, it was nice to dream about a hardtop.... <sigh>
