2 seater hardtop for sale on ebay

Gentlemen,

This one is definitely a two seater hardtop. The two seater hardtops start with a 6 in the serial numbers and the 4 seaters start with a 4. Additionally the hold down brackets are several inches longer on the two seater than on the 4 seater. The rear curvature is also slightly different due to the different shrouds shapes between the two and four seaters.

The serial number 6 10 59 705 as in Andrea's example above means a 2 seater hardtop (the 6), manufactured in October of 1959 and is top number 705.

See some descriptive images at:

Enjoy,
Duane

I have no idea what these are worth. Is the opening bid amount in line with current values for a 2-seater hardtop in this condition?

Nevets,

The last 2 seater I saw sell on Ebay which was nicely restored sold for over $5000.

They are rare, and this one looks like it has all hard to find original parts like the hooks and latches.

PM me if you want to discuss hardtops!

Hey,
Like Duane says, this is a 2 seater hardtop. If you have questions about one, contact him as he knows what he is talking about. Helped me out when I bought one last year that was advertised as a 4 seater top but serial number indicated it was for a 2 seater which is what I needed. Bought it for my BN6, then sold the BN6 so put the top on ebay and got $4500 for it. It was in nice condition with a good headliner, new brackets and rubber trim but the original sidelight so not fully restored. If someone lives up in New England I would be all over this one if it stays low like it is now.
Regards,
Mike

Had there been the option of shipping (or even enough time to have made arrangements for pickup) this would've probably wound up costing an argument around here...

Just as well that someone else got a deal, but if you notice one being offered in Florida...

I'm not sure what a two seater hardtop is going for but even for a BT7 the hardtop really transforms the car. Check out the BT7 with original factory hardtop that is currently in the classifieds here on the BCF. The car listed was originally painted primrose yellow, as the original hardtop is.

The ride is quieter and in the winter if installed properly really keeps out the cold. Of course I've never been cold in a Healey but it (the hardtop) does hold the heat in. Of course you can't drive it in snow and ice, but theres plenty of winter days you can drive a Healey.

Must be a full moon out, there is another factory hard top for sale on ebay right now in Florida. Believe it is for a 4 seater based on the serial number listed. Currently at $614 with 3 days left on the auction. Item # 350582446470. Like the other seller said, pick up only. But might be more folks in Florida for this one.
Regards,
Mike

I use my hardtop in the summer also. I cannot take the sun, and the shade is wonderful. Also, I love the look of the hardtop on the car.
