I weigh out my tool purchases in terms of use; if I'm going to use it forty (40) hours a week, I want top quality. If it's a once in a blue moon tool, I can settle for a lot less. On the other hand, and I'm primarily speaking about the dedicated BMW tools I've purchased (during its day, the Healey would've posed similar requirements), sometimes you have no choice but to pay the big bucks.

I've been collecting tools for forty (40) years, and there's still instances where I come across a task and don't have what I need; as hard as that is for my wife to believe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif
