TR2/3/3A 1959 TR3A speedometer and tachometers?

Tach on the right is correct for early cars. I forget the change point offhand, but TS13571L is supposed to be that way.

Randall,

That's good to know. Mine is TS51339L with them the other way.

Early TR4 speedos with domed glass aren't the same as the TR3A. The TR4 type is thinner in section, wired and mounted differently, but they can be made to fit a 3A.

I think the speedo swapped sides with the tacho during production on all LHD cars, so navigators on European rallies could read it easier.

Oh that is sad to see. How badly did the water damage the car (engine etc?)?

...not to steal the thread, but I love showing pictures.
In a word, baddly. Sand is as bad as salt. Here is sand coming out when I pulled the starter, and how salt makes carbs into a single unmoveable mass, and how it rusts inside the cylinder walls. Thats not to mention what it does to anything electrical, but the TR will see sunnier days again.

Yikes, those pix are nightmare material ....

I think that definitely needs a thread with lots of pictures.

regarding a thread:

Thanks. Actually, I have been starting threads and posting, when something changes.

So far I've taken it mostly apart and have the body off the frame -I'll consider myself 1/2 done when I finally get the frame stripped down completly. I have a rebuilt dash with guages hanging in the spare bedroom. I have a wiper motor, generator, starter and water pump, completly gone trhough and used several old ones to make good. I'm working the steering box now. Everything was a mess, and I've spent way more than anticipated, but it's been great fun.
