I would like to check the engine in my 1958 TR 3 to determine if it will still be able to turn over after sitting 20+ years. My intention is to remove the spark plugs , add a little oil (?) to the cylinders and try to turn the crankshaft manually. I do not have a hand crank, but was hoping to use a socket(size ?) , extension and breaker bar to determine if it is still” free”. Will a socket fit on the end of the starter nut? If so, what size?
thanks for your help.
