1500 vacuum question

Well, that IS odd. Should be a vacuum fitting below and to the right of the decel valve, pointing down about 45 degrees, just at the manifold mounting flange. (Are you sure your Z-S is a '76? And for a Midget? Maybe made for a later year with the manifold-vacuum dizzy? A lot can happen in 32 years!)

No fear, if that one isn't there, you can use the EGR port for your dizzy instead; the one that's capped off. Your vacuum advance will be a little different just off-idle, but it should still work fine.

well, I finally pulled the carb today (see my other post - trying to get it to run. found the hole where the fitting used to be - don't know why I hadn't noticed it before - it had been violently removed. little trip to Canadian Tire and all will soon be well. Thanks for your help.
