1500 battery cable colors

I'm curious, what colors are the stock battery cables supposed to be on a 1500? Mine are "backward" from the modern convention; red is negative and black is positive even though they were all negative ground. Previous owner insists he never had them replaced, so as far as I know that's how it was originally. I'd swap them but the ring terminals are different sizes. Only thing that bugs me is when I get the battery tested at Autozone, I have to assure them that red is really black and black is really red.

Tell you buddies at AutoZone about the + and - symbols on the battery, I know sometimes hard to see, but still. British cars are quirky, but I don't imagine BL was unconventional with their battery cable colors in the 70s.
