It is fantastic what may be done with 3D printers. Cutting edge technology is always great to watch. That being said, one cannot compare this to something like the person who builds working mini mills and lathes like this fellow. I suppose if you could fire the 1/5 Healey up it might be comparable, but being able to make precise 3D printed lost wax molds to cast the complex parts is a skill set that I may have to be convinced is as magnificent as making all the parts yourself using the sorts of tooling that makes the full scale parts. Someday you'll be able to download a file for the part you want to make, scale it, run it through your 3D printer and presto! I'll be making that jet pack I was promised in the 60's for my first project. Check out this stuff.
