Looks good! Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Did you have someone else do the paint for you?
Yes it was painted by a pro body/paint/restoration shop . I did the best I could with panel fit and initial body filler etc to get it to around 85% then handed it over to the shop to finish .

Looks good! Sorry to hear about your shoulder But:

Get you some of that STINKY Asper creme and rub the shoulder good then you may be able to get the rest of it done.:hammer:

Great looking Healey and you should be really proud of your effort and its result.

All the best,

Ray(64BJ8P1)

Thanks guys for all the kind words . I am going to keep going on it as much as I can . Plan this weekend and for the immediate future is to get the shiny chrome Dayton 72s on with new spinners and get the boot lid and boot interior all done . All this and get all over it and clean off all the dust from the body work , they masked it all extremely well but that dust gets everywhere .
Im having extensive Physio, MAT (muscle activation therapy) and acupuncture and possibly surgery in the near future so we will see how it goes .

My physio is working wonders but this is almost better than any physio right now .... This is motivation and gratification . :encouragement::encouragement:

3 more corners and a whole pile of other stuff to go .

wow that looks like it sits very high

Ahem ...... No battery , no fuel in the tank, no interior ,no spare in the trunk , new springs all new bushings ,rebuilt shocks with uprated valves , no road time to help it settle and I took that pic right after letting it off the jack . It will settle trust me . :encouragement:

Beautiful two tone.
Did you have the body shop paint the wheel wells black? Is the frame and engine bay red?

Did you have the body shop paint the wheel wells black? Is the frame and engine bay red?
Check the pics in my albums . The exposed areas of the frame and inside the wheel arches and wings are all coated with an epoxy type gravel guard . It has a finish similar to pick up truck spray on bed liner . The engine bay is red . Once the car is finished and settled on the suspension etc you really wont be able to see it that easily and you could if you wanted paint over it all and make it red as well .

Hey Healey Nut,
Healey looks beautiful ! Had a minor rotator cuff issue so know how that feels, like walking around with your arm just hanging down. Hope you can finish it as now is the fun time putting her back together !
Regards
Mike

Nut,

Take time to enjoy your beautiful car! Don't be in a hurry to throw in the towel. Time will change your perspective on what you can and can't do. Maybe some Healey guys in your area will help you finish. It would be a shame if a few months down the road you find out that its not all that bad and you sold your beautiful car. We are all here for you!

I have been out in the garage .......tinkering this morning and last night , funny how chrome dulls the pain....lol .
All four corners now have the Daytons on she looks even sharper now . Time for some lunch then its wing flashes and some other little stuff . If I feel adventurous I may even fire her up again . I haven't heard that glorious Stebro side exhaust in a long time . Who needs pain killers ......give me garage tinker time any day of the week .

:encouragement:It's called "Chrome Therapy":eagerness::eagerness:

With an awesome physiotherapist and lots of swimming and excercise I'm winning the battle finish her . Just the tunnel carpet to fasten down and the sill trims to do then it's time for my battle with the lower Windsheild seal .

Good to hear and see you are finishing the car yourself, it looks great

Hang in there dude- it's a beauty!
I have opposite troubles- knees are wrecked. Can't kneel or squat, it's a controlled fall to cushions on the garage floor. Flop around like an old bull trying to heave mtself up. Could be much worse though; was close to death's door 2 years back. Glad for what I have.
