TR6 Shims

I would think that's a problem. When you are done doing whatever you are working on take it to a good alignment shop and get it 4 wheel aligned properly.

Thank you. A length of steel was welded to the frame. I'm wondering if, whoever did it, thought maybe the thickness would negate the shims?

That might have been re enforcement for a rusted out section.. Check it out.

We checked my toe-in by taping a piece of heavy string to the back of the tire at the mid point and stretching it out straight to the front of the car making sure the string hugs the front of the rear tire at the midpoint. On the right side of mine, by the time the string reached the front tire, it was out from the front wheel almost 5 inches and that was why my steering wheel was always off-center to the left. A few shims and the problem was cured.
