Let's Design Mickey' Garage

Love the roof. Nice look.

Thanks - will match the house and the cabin.

how many cars are in the household?

The two MGB's, Janet's SUV, and my workhorse Tacoma, which will live outside.

Well Mickey, that is a major design flaw. No room to add LBCs?

Afraid there won't be any more additions. Two will be all I can handle.

Mickey,

Forgot to ask - what about roof vents?
I've regretted not putting them in,& it doesn't
get much over 70 here in the Summer.

- Doug

Thanks, Doug. Ridge vent on top, vents in the eaves. Will reassess once we get in.

Update: Interior's done, except for floor treatment; still undecided about what I'll be doing for that. We've brought both MG's over and they, along with a bunch of our stuff, are tucked away inside. This picture shows the pegboard in one corner - goes around the three walls. I'll probably paint either the pegboard or the sheetrock a contrasting color. The leftover logs from the house will be ripped and used as legs for a workbench and desk that I'll build after we do the floor.

Moving day is next week!

I detect a lack of electrical outlets!

Here's one more item to help you with moving day ...

Thanks - knew I could count on your help!

Five outlets (one 220v) along back wall; three on each side wall (two on other side of windows); plus two outside on the front wall. Pretty sure I'm covered there.

Looks as though it's shaping up really nice Mickey. That peg board looks great. When you have the time, more photos please.

Mickey - I was thinking you'll probably want to put in about six of these. Individual wall outlets can get used up fast.

Thanks, Jay - will post progress when it happens!

When I build the workbench, it'll have a strip along the back. Probably the same with the desk.
