One of the jobs I did was to photograph the first multi-round firing of the GAU-8A. Burlington, VT around '72. They had a fifty-five gallon drum to use as brass recovery, they'd mounted the weapon using angle-iron frame anchored into concrete ...ummm... inadequately. Suffice it to say it didn't quite go as planned.
