No, I don't watch Hollywood awards shows. :joyous: However, I noticed that the day after the Golden Globes, there is front-page news (at CNN) about the FASHIONS at the show. I suppose there's nothing new in that regard (as the Oscars typically hype the entire "red-carpet" thing). It does occur to me that the entire idea of the fashion worn by glamour-seeking types becomes the central focus for some people. Maybe just women.
Do other awards shows engage in this? How often have you been to a big car show when someone came away commenting "gee, did you see the cover-alls on the owner of the winning car? Gorgeous!" :glee: True, some of use have garage envy when it comes to a place where you can eat off the floor... but, still, the owner of the car attire hardly seem noticed.
Maybe a more valid comparison would be something like "my tools are cooler than your tools." Commence speculating.
