We have yet another Mercedes mechanic in the forum!
Engine got rough as I was heading into Clarksville TN. Mickey saved the day, by diagnosing and fixing the problem: the set screw had loosened, and the points weren't opening. See October 25 entry:

In Tennessee I learned a new culinary term. When ordering ham and eggs at breakfast, if the waitress asks "sweet or salty?", she means the ham. Southern cured ham isn't sweet and honey coated - and it's *great*!
