I'm not sure how they ensure that someone is a vet who is parking there, but I have veterans plates so that should be sufficient. If a vet parks there without any visible signs they are a vet, I'm not sure how Lowes would make sure they are a vet. My guess is it's just the honor system. It's just a courtesy and I doubt that they vigorously enforce it. Someone would really have to be a slug to park in a veteran's space if they were not a vet (yes, there are such people, but I think they are the exception rather than the rule). How do you show that you are a veteran? When/where do you need to have served to qualify?
Would be interested to know.
There's an MP on duty, to whom a DD214 must be shown before being allowed to park there. How do you show that you are a veteran? When/where do you need to have served to qualify?

I get the 10% discount from Lowes, Home Depot, Auto Zone, O'Reilly's and several local eating establishments around town. Oh, and also get my hair cut at a discount.I have a USN tag frame around my truck tag and use the veteran parking spaces at Lowes, plus I registered for the 10% discount. I've saved quite a bit over the years.
