I'll be here all week folks!
I had to get mine in Oregon. You could try 90+% isopropyl, not the 70% rubbing alcohol.Do you have an alternative product for us Californians? Denatured alcohol is banned here. When I need to thin shellac, the manufacturer suggested I use acetone. Would that work with brake fluid As well ?
"The ban was about denatured alcohol when used as a solvent - degreasing, cleaning parts before painting, etc. That's the main reason it is sold in home centers and paint stores. It was banned because essentially all the alcohol ends up evaporating while there are low-VOC solvents and solutions that can do the same tasks with far less emissions."Why is it banned in California?
...
Non-denatured ethanol is in ready supply - we have a big wine industry. Isopropanol is also in ready supply as it is for medical uses.
I'm in CA and not too long ago I bought a couple of gallons of Denatured alcohol online.Do you have an alternative product for us Californians? Denatured alcohol is banned here. When I need to thin shellac, the manufacturer suggested I use acetone. Would that work with brake fluid As well ?
