About 20 years ago I was mowing my lawn with a very sick 12 hp Briggs and Stratton engine. I heard a “pop” and felt something “hot” fly by my head and the engine quit.
Upon inspection I found a piece of the block broke loose and went airborne. Incoming!

The valves will stay much cooler with that mod!

Don't forget the coffee can exhaust to deal with the increased flow!
