Hey Guest!
The lifting points are the studs that hold the rocker cover in place. You will need a way to tilt the engine front to back. This is one: Tilt-Lift Engine Hoist. I haven't used this one, I've used an earlier design.Advice please! Pulling engine and trans on my 67 Healey 3000 MkIII BJ8. Suggested lifting points?
Good point Bob. Getting access to those bushing with the engine in place, as they say in New York, forgettttabouuutit. Seriously, replace the bushing with the Teflon ones. (For reference Moss 021-822 021-822_980-310_INST.pdf) And while you're at it, replace the bushing that the accelerator pedal and bush cup have. I believe all 4 bushings are the same.Esp. if you pull engine and gearbox together, be sure not to bash the throttle cross shaft (firewall at top front of the gearbox tunnel). With the engine out, make sure the shaft is straight and the shaft bushings have no slop (they probably will). Replacement nylon bushings, designed by a top-notch Healey mechanic, are the way to go.
