My little sister made the observation that had us all chuckling: Why don't they have seatbelts on starships? People flying out of their seats across the bridge whenever they encounter some strange anomaly or they get attacked seems to be a recurring problem.

One episiode, "The Ultimate Computer" has the Enterprise being totally controlled by the "M5" computer. Of course the M5 doesn't know that the other starships attacking are just playing in an exercise - it trys to destroy the other star ships!

I read at one point that the 3rd season in particular went downhill because they cut something like 60% of the production budget, so they couldnโt get the writing they had before or even the usual 60s special effects.
But hey, it still a least wasnโt Lost in Space with Dr Smith making that โIโm scared nowโ howlโฆ.
Happens to every serial. At some point, the episodes get more ridiculous and as they say it "Jumps the Shark".
