Covid Shots

Nevada just went to 70 from 75 I was good at 75 and now my wife is in we reg on line today do not know is there is even any vaccine in my county. But we are on the list. Madflyer

Roger that. Registered and waiting. I prefer to be vaccinated at a local retail pharmacy to the "Big Shot" venues - Stadium and Amusement Parks.

i'm scheduled at the VA for after we get back home from vacation. If St Louis County bests that date in early Feb we'll come home early. Just saw an article where MO says they aren't gong to get as much vaccine as they thought.

In NY have appt 9 Feb. I am 82 but good health.

Wife got her Moderna shot today and an appointment for the second. I'm signed up for Monday for Moderna. Meanwhile, I have a case of Singles on my leg. Second time I've had it. First time when I was 7 or 8 - all around my right side like a girdle. Itched like crazy, then hurt. This one is quiet so far. Never got the shot - but I will now when this is over. Good friend lost the sight of his right eye because of Shingles. Can be serious if you're over 60.

This past Tuesday, PA expanded shot availability to include those 65 and over...got my first shot last night (Pfizer).

My wife and I are still looking for a place to get ours. Seems no-one here is scheduling appointments just down the road from you.

I started looking as soon as PA posted the map Tuesday...8 hours later finally found a spot at The Good Samaritan Hospital (Wellspan), Lebanon.

Thanks for the info. Everyday I’ve been checking multiple places. Seems a vaccine shortage is the blame.

In Nevada the state lowered age to 70. Phone and on-line not working well. My wife found a site that noted Walgreens ( not the Walgreens web page ) started taking apt. we are over 70 we go in Monday I think it was the first day the page opened, we called our club members they all got in and site is full now. I have talked to friends in the UK they knew someone that got them ahead of the line. In Canada the small towns were easy. In California my long time friend 75 got a call from a friend in health care that said come right down we have a few spares. My VA has not called me as a Nam vet. Is this really our health system people are dyeing to get this vaccine. Madflyer

Wife and I got it today one down one to go. They can't seem to do this without a computer as happen today took 2 hours. Vaccine has a short open life so they would not start until computer loaded. Paper work done vaccine on hand just sit and wait. And it all started late first snow of the year. Walgreens Madflyer

My bro and his wife are below 70 and called up the local clinic in Tucson and they got in the next day(Week ago). They have a home there but aren't residence for voting reasons. The clinic they went to does 3K a day in shot numbers

Gliderman found St Lukes Hospital system for my wife. I qualified for VA in Runnemeade NJ
Thanks Randy. I'm in Lancaster. I check everyday only to find that no-one has the vaccine available.
Will be going for oral surgery tomorrow and will be on antibiotics... will have to ask if I can get the shot while taking my meds. As for my wife, I'm encouraging her to get it even if I have to wait.

Gilderman I went on St Lukes site, we live close to Phila and taking wife to Jim Thorpe to get shot. 2 hr ride. They seem to have a lot of locations around the state.

BTW are you a Vet?

Randy don’t think St. Luke’s is in this area but will certainly check it out.
No, not a vet.

I've yet to hear from our local VA. Supposed to be notified.
