I dream of organization
My tools are one of the very few areas of my life that is somewhat organized.
Top drawer - 1/2" drive socket set - American & Whitworth; 3/8" drive set, American & Metric; 1/4" set - American & Metric.
Second drawer - Screwdrivers, pliers, locking pliers.
Third drawer - everything else - hammers, chisels, files, scissors, clamps, torque wrench.
Underneath - wire wheel wrench, wheel puller, grease gun. Also have separate toolboxes with micrometers, tire gauges, tap and die sets, etc, etc. Lifetime of tools, many no longer used.
Wrong! - EVERYONE knows that screwdrivers go in the 1st drawer!
Some well spent energy went into that.
AKA Crescent hammer.Adjustable wrench - knucklebuster.
Only used them once. Never again.
Keep mine all on "rails". SAE in the front, metrics at the rear. From drawer to cart or portable box to the job, an empty place on the rail means I need to find the missing tool. this has stood me in good stead for fifty years.
