We are spending the night at a super 8 in Loveland outside Memphis. The tr is at the previous exit. I thought the rear brake shoe was rubbing in the inside of the drum and we were stopping every half hour when I realized the squeak was coming from the front wheel. The bearing disintegrated except for the inner part that is stuck on the stub axle. I tried hammering but it will not budge. Tomorrow we will try to get a puller and bearing and move forward. What a bummer. If anyone is close enough to help call my cell at 281 732 6188.

My second trip to Pa was flawless. The 1st, 3rd and 4th had issues, but this is the first it needed towed home.
Here's a few pics. My oldest brother standing by a hill -close to my cousins house in Summerhill. My 93 year young Mother in front of her house in Pa -she didn't want to ride in my TR until she heard the top was down. It reminded her of when she rode in a motorcycle side car, way back when she was dating my father -something she never let my father find out about. Hopeless is self explanatory. I am stunned that all that was holding the wheel on, was the edge of the D washer riding against the inner edge of the hub just outside the race. I think this picture is closer than I ever want to be to a wheel falling off. To think I was driving 75mph seconds earlier...
