TR2/3/3A TR2 Seats

OK, the saga is not over. I just got my shipment from Rimmer. They only sent one frame and backordered the second until August. AUGUST!!

This seat saga has ceased being fun. While I furiously call across the world looking for options, I did come up with a question maybe someone can help me with...

TRF has TR3 fixed seat frames. Does anyone know if/how those are different from TR2 fixed seat frames?

Hi,

You might try www.kas-kilmartin.com. They show a lot of sheet metal for LBC's in the website. They are in Australia. I have not used them, so I cannot speak of the quality. I almost bought a seat from them but did not.

Kas looks interesting. Being able to get just the seat bottom should be much cheaper to ship than the complete seat. It is generally just the bottom that is bad. I have not check the prices yet.

Thanks for the tip! My big fear was ending up with 2 different shaped seats. Rimmer finally got back to me and claims the second seat will be shipped March 8th. I can wait that long, but hope they aren't just kicking the rock to keep me hanging. I'll definitely keep the Australian supplier as a backup...in fact wish I knew we could get just bottoms too!
