I think I got this figured out, but need confirmation. On my positive ground system the solid white wire goes to the negative (old SW) terminal and the white with black tracer goes to the positive (old CB) terminal on a new coil...correct?

The white wires are connected to SW and the white/black tracer to CB. Also an interesting link to Lucas sports coil history!

Thanks Duane, but I guess what I'm really asking, is the CB terminal the positive, and is the SW the negative?244.jpgAnd if so, then the wires are incorrectly connected on the attached photo.

The wiring diagram is correct.
CB = Contact Breaker = points in distributor
SW = Ignition SWitch
If your coil is marked "+" and "-", the "+" is connected to distributor and the "-" to the ignition switch, for positive ground cars.
