What is your farorite older Jag?

You missed some - Mark II, Mark X, etc....

My vote actually goes to the XJ6 series I (not on the list), still an older Jag

I think mine is the Mark II Saloon. I guess Basil's real inquiry is "what is your favorite classic Jaguar sports car?" . I'll vote for series II E-type anyway.

I had a 1967 Series 1 1/2 Coupe that I bought in 1974 and sold it in 1983. I keep kicking myself for selling it. It was a wonderful car, quite free of most British idiosyncrasies...never overheated, didn't leak oil, no electrical problems.

Nothing like cruising at 100 mph and then stomping on the accelerator and watching that big nose rise up....

30 years old usually defines classic, so that puts the model year to 1973 or older. How time flys!!!

My favorite isn't on the poll list either; strangely, I really like the XJ6C.

Wouldn't turn down a SS100 either, though.

I may be mistaken, but those XJ6C are pretty rare. And I agree, they are nice.

Correct, the XJ6C is comparatively rare, however, Jaguar produced 6-cylinder and 12-cylinder versions, in both Jaguar and Daimler (not available in the USA) configurations. In terms of rarity, the Daimler Double-six coupe is the tops, with only 407 being made, followed by the Daimler 4.2C with 1,677. The Jaguar XJ5.3C had 1,855. Then comes the more "common" XJ6C, with 6,487 produced.
