The MK II tri-carb 2 seaters are second in rarity to the 100S cars - only 355 of these cars were produced. And, only about 160 of these cars are accounted for today, according to the latest that I have heard. Is anyone keeping track of the sales info on these cars?

Bill has sold out to Kent Lambert in the Hood Mountain area. Bill is still on line and is a great source of information but I do not believe he still has inventory. I will try to post his e-mail address for you.

Here it is:
tricarb@aol.com

Both Bill and Kent are the nicest guys will in to help.

Thanks Tahoe ! I have a 62 BN7 two seat tri that I got from my father when he passed away...Dad had communicated with tricar@aol in the past as I have seen the messages in the paperwork he had set aside with the car when i got it. I will look him up again and see what he thinks. I'll never sellit but it might be useful to know for insurance purposes.

The center-shift model is arguably the most valuable (I think there was only 60-something of those made, slightly more than 100Ses).

Last/only 2-seater/3-carb/CS car I saw for sale was the one with original disk wheels (belonged to a Healey restorer, maybe Eric Grundsen (sp?), but I'm not sure). I think the asking price was over $60K, and this was quite a few years ago (maybe as many as 10 years).

Oliver,

I have my tri carb insured for 52k for about $400 a year.

Oliver,
Cool car.
Your lucky to have the hard top as well as the rag top. My BN7 is also the old english ivory white with the red interior. It has the disc wheels, side shift and the 354 rear gear from the factory. You have some real cool toys there and I know they are extra special because of the connection with your Dad. I lost my Dad this past May and will always cherish the time we spent in the garage tinkering with our passion of all things mechanical.
Best Regards
Bob

Mine is a center shift, some pics here at https://www.flickr.com/photos/brantgiere/page2/

Thanks for the info!

I didn't want to emphasize the center-shift aspect too much in case you didn't have one, but there's no question that makes your car very collectible and, of course, valuable. Looks original (except for the 'light resto') with leather seats and a 'stock' hardtop; your car may well be worth up to low six figures.

There were 355 BN7 MKIIs built of which, like I mentioned, only 60/70-something were center-shift. I recommend you get an appraisal from a knowledgeable party and get it insured for 'agreed value'--e.g. the appraisal value--with one of the classic car companies (Hagerty, etc.).

Your father had excellent taste.

Thanks guys, apprciate the info and comments! I posted a few pic's here about a year ago but then got pretty carried away with my other "hobby" and kinda dropped out of the Healey scene... I drove the car quite a bit this past summer after a good going over. Daryl Wagner did some work on it and i did a few minor things and she runs like new!
