I'm not familiar with this car, but do know that Triumph would send over pre-production cars or cars with "next model" running gear if reasonably compatible with an existing body/frame to this country. If nothing else and you're not a totally unreasonable distance away, one could make a swing by for a look-see and have some BBQ at Louis Meuller's in Taylor TX. It wouldn't be a totally wasted trip no matter what you found out on the TR because you'd get to eat some pretty decent BBQ.*
* assuming things haven't changed too much since we moved from Fort Worth. We'd periodically load up and make a run to different BBQ places in that area and Muellers was one of the favorites. I see from looking at their website
cowboy: don't know if that's a good or a bad thing) that they offer more stuff now including sandwiches. When we used to go there, you went to the counter and told them how many slices of brisket you wanted, how many ribs you wanted, etc and they would weight it since you were charged by the pound. If you wanted a sandwich, they had loafs of bread on the counter so you could grab a couple of slices and make your own.
