Jack, the cams , if factory, were marked in various ways. Some had part numbers on them, such as AEA 649. Some were marked with rings on the shaft itself. For instance, a cam with 3/8" wide lobes, and 2 rings would be a stock 1098 cam. A pin style oil pump drive, with 3/8" lobes and one ring would be an AEG 510, Cooper S cam. Check the lobe width, the oil pump drive style, and see if you can find any rings. I may be able to ID it for you from that information.
If you can't find anything, I guess the only altenative would be to send it to Crane or one of the other Cam companies, and have them run the profile for you.
