Spacer between rear air filter and carb - BJ7

Guys, I know it sounds like a minor detail, but my car did not come to me with stock air filters, or the spacer for the rear carb.

It had K&Ns, but I want to go back to stock. I got a hold of a good set of stock air filters, but have not been able to locate a spacer.

Any suggestions on where to get one... It actually looks simple to fabricate one, but I would like it to look stock. Not certain if anyone has done this. Maybe out of a piece of phenolic or plastic?

Also, a little confused on how to set up the studs that hold the filter to the carb. Looks like a PIA to take them off or put them back on.

Any suggestions really appreciated. Thank you!

I think Burlen Ltd has what you need. (Link Below) I purchased the SU negative ground electronic points replacements from them, I was very happy with the transaction.

Right, if it is the spacer I think it is, there should be two per carb placed each side of the heat shield, I am not aware of a spacer between the carb and the filter.
They are called up in the SC Parts manual, but I have not checked to see if they are priced - they list all parts but some times not all are priced as they have not sourced a manufacturer yet. And yes - they are a form of plastic but not sure what - obviously resistant to heat.

The rear spacer provides clearance for the air filter to the nearby frame member in the BJ7. There is only one spacer, and it's on the rear carburator. The original is aluminum and about 0.5 inch thick. I've never seen one sold as new.

Did you ever find one? I sorting some parts and came across this:

It is aluminum, 1/2" thick with a hole size of 1-5/8" diameter. Is it the right part?
