Had the pleasure of meeting him once at a Shelby American Holiday Party. Have his autograph on a water color of him behind the wheel of a Daytona coupe at Goodwood. One of the few autographs that I wanted from the famous people that I have met in my life. He will be missed by many.

There was a piece on the development of the XKE on History Channel International a few days ago. Mid-show, Hill was reunited with an XK-120 similar to the one he had driven at the beginning of his career. He talked about tapping family for funds, bringing the car over from the UK as baggage on the Queen Mary, early racing success. His really was the classic 'golden age' motorsport story.
