I will jump in and defend Triumphs, after my 100 my favorite British sports car was my solid axle 4A, and it was also the most reliable and rugged, it would start with no trouble at -10F and served as my daily driver well into the 80s. I like my TR250 too, but it took a lot more "massaging" to make right, so hardly apples to apples when comparing with stock or near stock examples of the other cars.
