Now pointing with left index finger. Doesn't this area look
a little dry?

Conversely, this area between the pinky and the thumb looks pretty well wet:

I can't remember what I had in mind with this shot:

Please advise me the next things to do. I suppose time with timing light...and then...

Hey, where's the red color????????????

It concerns me that the gasket is not still on your valve cover. Don't get oil on that surface before the sealer goes on.

And that part of the stand doesn't need lubed. How are the rockers and the shaft on either side?

But that looks like one of Justin's gaskets, isn't it? I don't think sealer is needed in that case, at least I haven't yet.

The red color?? I guess you mean the red engine bay?? Covered up by my fender well
covers. I think the rockers and the shaft are gonna be all right. I'll make sure
to pay attention to that.

Yes, this is one of Justin's gaskets.


Paul: I didn't read about proper installation. I've just been letting it set because
I figure I should in order to readjust the valves, when the time comes.
Am I supposed to "glue" it to the valve cover?

Well.., you could go back and check things or just set the timing, adjust and sync the carbs, and then go thru whatever breakin procedure that makes you feel comfortable.
You'll be getting recommendations on that phase.
