Just got this. Very interesting. Not sure I like the electric car concept but love the design. Better start saving your pennies and dimes!

Actually ... I like it, tho' I could do without the pink highlights. Interesting parallel with the Jabbeke TR of 1953, and I doubt a driver would worry about battery range.

I think that id really cool. They have eked TR2: headlamps slightly inboard, the rear and sides, and the “spoked” banjo-esque steering wheel. I also like that the front wheels have been pushed to the corners of the car, which is something I have long visually admired about Triumphs.

My guess is that the pink highlights are more likely red tail lights.
I like them and the frog eyes, but the rest of the car has a massive lack of 'design'.

Would it have killed them to put in a retro-style front grill? I know EVs don't need them, but, come-on put a real grill in.

I dont know, if it is only a single seater, why have two opening doors, why is the driver not sitting in the middle,
Its just sort of but not there, the TR's were a thing of beauty, sculpture on wheels. Record breakers.
I dont hink i would cross the road for a closer look,

I just noticed it that the "pink" tail lights also mimic the rear bumperettes on a real one. What surprised me too was the front grill. As Rod-H said EVs don't need one but I was please to see the attempt . It's there probably to cool the AC condenser however there is no hood.

To me it has the look of new Miata,without the convienance of a top or windows,thats been prepped for a Tron remake.

I don't see a Miata at all. Back in 2006 BMW had a TR6 concept car and it resembled a Miata. However I loved the retro look. It was going to be built on a Mini platform and called a Mini Triumph. That name killed it for me and I never got an answer if it was front wheel drive. That too would have killed it.

I sometimes get into discussions about the TR7/8s and how it is not a traditional looking TR therefore they hate them. My point to most is that if Triumph or most of the LBC companies were still in business what would the cars look like today. Certainly not the original TRs. Times change as peoples interest, style and needs change. If your a Triumph enthusiast embrace what the companies are doing. Voice your opinions with your voice and dollars. You certainly wouldn't have to purchases one. I really like the throw back look they are attempting with the TR6 and 2. Just like Ford did with the Mustang in 2005. In fact I like that 05 through 09 body style better then the original coupes and look what that did for the Mustang and Ford. There're all over the place. Although the 69/70 fast backs are in a class all by them selves.

Concept cars are design exercises. "What can we do" / "What will the public think of it" / "What will buyers go gaga over" Very often, the response is "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." Sometimes the response is an overwhelming "shut up and take my money!" And almost never does a concept car end up in suburban driveways. But elements of the design will find their way onto production vehicles.

In other words, YES, concept cars exist in large part so the designers can get consumer feedback. But on the other hand... maybe relax a little and don't take it quite as seriously as it sounds above? (Apologies if I'm misreading, but there seems to be a lot of venom here)

So from this exercise, we find out that some people like the headlights, some people hate the wheels, some people think they need to add a passenger seat. Personally I'd pay a little extra for a non-removable tonneau cover next to me. No passenger seat means more room for a cooler (and quieter rides ).

Probably a bit off topic, but I was driving home from Santa Cruz yesterday.
In Half Moon Bay there were about eight or ten cars wrapped with the black and white design camo.
Couldn't see what brand but there were a mix of sedans and SUVs.
Wouldn't matter anyway since hardly any brands still have DNA.
