midget 1500 exhaust system

I have a 79 midget 1500 and the exhaust system has got numerous holes in it. My question is; what is a good exhaust system for these cars? The original on my car looks like someone took a swingset apart and made a exhaust sytem out of the bars! Moss motors says the monza system only goes 19 inches forward of their muffler and then you use the original pipe up to the engine.? Why put a "free flow" muffler on a stock pipe that loses 25 percent of the pipe in areas with a bend?
I'm leaning towards letting someone custom pipe it but wondered what everyone's experiences were with different exhaust systems out there?

Have Monza system on my 79 - no problems and sounds good too.

I've always been pleased with the Falcon stainless systems on my "A" series cars. A bit pricey for the 1500 cars, though.

i made my own after being rather dissapointed with the choices out there. i purchased a Harbor Frieght pipe bender, 10ft of 2 in mild steel tubing, and a bag of sand, and a cherry bomb turbo 2 muffler. Fill pipe with sand, bend gently (the sand prevents kinking) There are not any really tight bends and i just copied the old system that i had on the ground. doesnt sound to bad either...
