MGs have always been meant to be used in competition.
So here's a great event by MG Vintage Racers.
The event will be held at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on April 10-12 as part of the VDCA “Wild Hare Run”.

Our MGVR “Focus Event 2015” is gathering momentum! Last week I sent out a memo asking which MG racers “Plan to Race” at FE-15 at VIR with VDCA in April. As of January 26th, here is the list of those responding that they plan to come. 44 MGs and counting! If you are planning to race your MG at the event, and your name is NOT on the list, PLEASE let me know and I’ll add it! That will get YOU on the “MGVR FE-15 pipeline” of event info! April is not that far away, and rumor has it that the SNOW will be gone by then! I’m looking forward to another great Focus Event and hope to see you there!
Here is some preliminary information:
· MGVR will have its ”Meet & Greet” social Thursday around 6PM in the paddock at MGVR Central.
· MGVR may also have something going on Friday Evening (options being considered for now)
· Entry forms not yet available
· VDCA will have their dinner Saturday evening. Race entry includes dinner tickets for driver and two crew. MGVR will give out its awards at this dinner.
· There will be at least one “All MG Race”. Have to wait to see what entries are received.
· There is no additional charge for either the Australian Pursuit Wild Hare Run, or the Enduro, which are included with your entry.

· VIR was just re-paved in 2014

VDCA recognizes all VMC member clubs’ driver credentials. If your car is eligible with VSCCA, VRG, SVRA, VARAC, VSCDA prep guidelines you are eligible with VDCA. You can find VDCA Car Groupings, Car Prep Requirements and Driver Equipment Requirements at: https://www.vintagedrive.com/car eligibility.htm#DRIVER’S EQUIPMENT: If you have car eligibility questions, please reach out to Doug Meis at s800racer@netzero.net
General notes regarding VDCA Equipment-HANS device is suggested, not mandatory. I highly recommend it. Check your restraints-they must be 5 years or newer. Helmets must be SA2005 or newer. SVRA tire rules apply (i.e. no tire concerns). VDCA’s website (www.vintagedrive.com) is very informative and easy to follow. That’s were our gang will find most answers to their questions.
