TR2/3/3A Installing body to chassis with engine installed

I am ready to put the body back on my chasis which has the engine and tranny installed. My question is do I need to remove the distributor, generator, manifolds etc. to have clearance for the body? Thanks and have a good day!

John I had to remove the carbs and intake manifold, Move the generator out of the way and perhaps some other smaller items, but that's all that I remember.
It is easily doable but best to have additionsal human bodies around to help.
Good luck and let us know how it went.

I would remove intake and generator for sure. The rest should be okay. How much help will you have to install? With a lot of help you may not have to remove anything.

For me and my 57, it was just carbs (note green tape over intake) and e- brake handle. Piece of cake body to chassis.jpg

For my 56 I removed only the carbs and removed bolt securing hand brake to make easier to maneuver lever through hole in floor plan. I worked alone, but used an engine hoist with a 2x4 cradle to reinstall the body (same rig I used to remove the body). Having the frame on wheels and dollies made life easier too. Don't forget to reinstall the spacers between shell and frame. Good luck, it is not too difficult if you take your time. Cheers, Mike

Disregard post. I just remembered that I didn't have the engine and trans in the car when I dropped the body on.

I put the TR250 tub back on the frame last week without motor and trans in. My reasoning was its a lot easier to install the wiring and hydraulics first, then drop motor and trans.
