I removed the auxiliary oil line from my head and can no longer find that small 5/16" fine thread bolt that closes the hole. Unfortunately, it is not a standard bolt but has a large head and a shelf to crush a copper washer against the face of the head to seal the hole. Anyone have a spare hanging around? In fact, I am feeling so generous that I will give you the entire auxiliary oil line kit complete and in good shape for the tiny little bolt. My kingdom for a bolt.

Oh, and I am not shipping to Australia or Ireland for free, you would have to pay at least shipping; and I still want the bolt free though.

I bought a bolt at my local hardware store, in the SS section that was just an ordinary 5/16" bolt and cut it to length and it works fine on the head currently on my engine. It matched the one that I took out perfectly (except that the head wasn't rounded off on the corners).

But if you want to be a purist, let me see if I have one with a bigger head on a spare cylinder head tomorrow. If I do, it's yours.

Call TRF. I lost that same fastener many years ago and they sent me a new one. At the time, early '90s, it cost around $9.00. Talk to Dave.

Ya drive a hard bargain Bill. I will check my spare motor at home tonight to see it it has the external oil line. If it has (and Paul doesn't come thru) I can send it over.

He doesn't need the banjo bolt with the oil holes in it, but rather the stock head blocking bolt for no oil line.

The big 3 must love when people buy the hardware with the parts. I've been using all SS nuts and bolts from my local True Value for 1/2 what the big 3 get for regular ones. Most all threads and lengths can be matched and my guy is small compared to other hardware stores.

Aloha Bill,

I somehow ended up with a whole Spitfire engine when all I wanted was a rocker arm.

I checked and that part is the same (101202). Maybe it's the same as a regular bolt, maybe it ain't - I've got no use for it and can have it in an envelope wiki wiki. I live on the airport (well, the Hickam side) and it'll go out by air within hours. Want it?

I removed the bolt and copper washer before I took the Spit engine apart. (thrust washer was in the pan and the block & crank were ruined). PM your address and I'll shoot it to ya.

I don't see that it's any different from other bolts ("BAX" on the head) but it did come from that spot on the head.
