Here's info for the 2006 running of the Grand Lake Tour MK XIV.
It's only two weeks away....please register and pay your entrance fee when you arrive in Janesville, WI.
Please respond to this e-mail if you are planning on attending!
Note....you will NOT be visiting Michigan nor Indiana this year.
Note....Gazetteers of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois may come in handy!
Note....No GPS or computer programs allowed!
Note...It is required that you have fun!
See you Friday nite, August 18th In Janesville, WI. The rallye will begin with a driver's meeting and odometer calibration run at 6:30am on Saturday, August 19th.

• The fourteenth annual “Grand Lake Tour” will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20, 2006. This is truly an exciting and challenging activity for any British car enthusiast!! Join other MG and British car enthusiasts to find the shortest distance to some interesting and scenic checkpoints scattered throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and perhaps Iowa. Coordinated by TwoRickRacin’ (a division of Team Fokowie), we know that you will not want to miss this test of man and machine! Entry is restricted to British cars 1981 and older. All participants must have a valid driver’s license; all cars must be licensed, insured, and pass a technical inspection prior to leaving on the first leg. All entries must have a driver and co-driver. There will be a Drivers’ meeting held in the “lobby” of the Motel 6 in Janesville, WI at 6:30am on Saturday morning! An odometer calibration run will equalize all cars entered into the rallye.
• Base hotel for the rallye will be the Motel 6 located at 3907 Milton Avenue in Janesville, WI (53546) (608-756-1742) The hotel has a rate of $41.99 + tax ($37.79 + tax with AARP).The rallye will begin and finish from this location. It would be advisable to arrive on Friday as the rallye will begin immediately following a Drivers’ Meeting and Odometer Calibration Run at 6:30am on Saturday. Participants will be given ample time to complete the Grand Lake Tour, which will NOT be as long as those of previous years!! Entry fee for the Grand Lake Tour will be $25 per car and can be paid upon your arrival in Janesville. Solo and team entrants are welcome. A traveling trophy, engraved with the solo class winners’ names will be presented on Sunday afternoon. See you in Janesville!
