The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is this weekend (actually starts Friday, July 11) .
It's a double weekend event. I'll be there with #909 both weekends.
The first weekend is held at Pitt-Race (formerly BeaveRun)
The second weekend is held in Shenley Park in the city of Pittsburgh. The roads are public roads that are shut down for the event. There really aren't too many places in the world where they shut down public streets and have a car race so it's pretty neat. Not for the faint of heart: lots of stone walls and old-school hay bales. And about 500,000 spectators.
In between the two weekends they have a race car parade downtown, a very nice car show, a charity dinner, a tuning clinic, etc.
The event support some great charities and is great fun to boot. If you are in the area, it's really worth attending.
