I stumbled across another early TR8 coupe. I have not finalized it's purchase yet, so no details. I don't want to loose out on it. It will be my fifth coupe, and third of the 115 or so pre-production models. I first saw this car 15 or more years ago sitting at a repair shop adjoining a junk yard. The motor was torn apart and the car looked seriously neglected. It, according to the shop proprietor, had been there for 2 years. His comment was "If the owner doen't come up with some money to put it back together soon, it will be crushed". I went back a few months later with Woody in tow. The shop was closed, the car was gone, and the junk yard guy that spoke some English had no idea what I was talking about. I figured the car was history. Flash forward to this week. Looked at the car. It runs, but is in a state that makes it barely worth restoring. Hopefully money will change hands on Saturday and I can divulge the specifics. Does anybody know the web address of the guy who keeps track of the coupes? I am sure this one is not on the list.
