MGB Electrical Part Identification

I'm just starting to dig into my 70 Roadster Barn Find beginning with wiring inspections since the car was a mouse hotel for 30 years. The PO did quite a few wiring modifications - many of which have now been removed or repaired.

In removing the lower console to remove the old Craig radio, I found the power lead (yellow) for the radio terminated in this block. Based on the coloring for the other wires, this block would serve dash/cockpit lighting but I cannot locate this device in the 5 shop manuals or Rick Astley's book. It appears to be a basic terminal block but I'm having trouble validating that it is original to the MGB (though it appears to be) and what purpose it would serve now that the radio has been removed.

It looks like the back of a switch. Its next to the ciggy lighter where the heated rear screen and map light switches would be.
Perhaps a Map Light, which is normally fed from the dash light circuit so it only works when the side lights are switched on,

According to the lucas colour guide red/purple is for Switches to (map light, under bonnet light, glove box light and boot lamp) when sidelamp circuit fed.
so it would turn them all on together when side lights are on, ?
I think the switch on the right in this picture is the same as yours as you can see the red/green wire same as yours.

Well, I feel silly. I must have been extremely tired to have made this post. That is indeed the back side of a switch. When I went back to look at the wiring last night, I had to laugh at myself.
