TR6 Chirp or squeak on acceleration

I am reviving a 1972 TR6 from a long 15 year storage. Had to replace all things brake related and while there replaced the suspension bushings that were obviously past their useful life. Finally getting the car moving, there is a loud chirp or squeak while accelerating and going uphill. It is loud and sounds as if it is in tempo with speed not engine revs. Anyone recognize this noise and its cause? It is coming from the transmission or further back.

Check the front wheel bearings for grease and adjustment.

Would a u-joint stop making noise when the car is just maintaining speed? The noise only comes when accelerating. It does not matter what speed, it goes away when I'm not stepping on it. I don't think it is front bearings, Wayne. I forgot to mention that the front bearings were replaced. They are easy. The rear bearings are another story. But this does sound to me like a bearing noise.

Since it's only under acceleration then it probably is u-joint related, there are 2 on the driveshaft plus 2 on each rear axle.
My TR6 front brakes make a rhythmic squeak kind of noise as I drive along, I think the rotors are likely slightly warped so they rub slightly in a pulsating road speed related manner; when I touch the brakes slightly it stops but returns again, more noticeable as I drive past something that reflects the sound back at me.

Doing a quick look, I don't see any grease fittings so they must be permantly lubed. Looks like it's time to replace them.

If you think it might be the bearings in the rear wheel hubs, jack the car up until the tire clears ground. Then grasp the tire with your hands 180 degrees apart and pull and push both vertically and horizontally.
You shouldn't feel any wobble.

This took me a while to work on. The car was in storage for 15 year before I bought it. It had not been drivable til now because of non existent brakes and then a realtor bad misfire. Finally got the car running well and with the most perfect,top-down weather I could not resist some drive time even with the obnoxious chirp on acceleration. I'm really old enough to know better..... This morning a feeling of impending doom came over me as I down shifted for a tight turn on a beautiful curvy country road. So I called the ride short a headed for home to check out the u-joints. After pulling the half shaft and check the joints, they were fine. On to the differential mounts........ Take I look.... I think I found the cause of the noise...

I haven't had mine welded yet, so I haven't seen it without the mount installed, but I think my passenger front is a twin for the middle picture
