break in oil pressure--5speed conv--cv joint axles

OK, got my car on the road after initial run in a week ago, ran it up and down the rpm range and sometimes under load for a good break in. Here is my oil pressure, cold- 50 at idle, 75 above 2500rpm. hot- slightly less than 25 at idle and 65 above 2500rpm. Does a little less than 25 seem low for hot idle?. Engine temp is good, I am running the aux. oil line to the valve train.----------Some of you might remember I installed the Supra 5sp conversion from Australia--everything worked and shifted flawless. Also I installed the Ocala CV joint axle conversion, thats the one that Alana installed, they worked flawless. ---Even though the trans conversion is working great I wouldnt recomend that company from Australia because there is a big lack of customer support, hard to get through on the phone (and expensive) and emails go unanswered, because of this-- things are left to your own thought and engineering on some of the installation, the instruction are very generic and not detailed, it would probably be alot better to stay with one of the American conversions.

Do you have a contact for the Ocala Axles? Tried google, but got nothing.

https://www.cvaxles.com by phone you have to ask for kevin he is the owner and is the one to place an order with. The last time I looked Goodparts was selling them--made by Ocala. I paid $1500 including shipping almost a year ago but Goodparts charges more---Kevin might tell you to go through Goodparts but I dont know for sure.

Yes I did install cam bearings. The oil pressure goes up immediately on throttle but that hot idle oil pressure makes me a little nervous. I had installed my own aux. oil line before the rebuild --it was a small plastic line with a hole about 1/2 the size of the new stainless line, maybe thats it. I guess if the oil pressure stays good as it is above 2500 (its at 50 at 2000) there shouldnt be any problems??

It would be an interesting test to plug off the line to the rocker and see if there is any change to the oil pressure at idle.

I just installed my old smaller line, will start it up in the next couple days and see what happens, I had good idle pressure with the old aux. line. in the old engine.

Your oil pressure sounds about like what I'm seeing. I've been concerned about 25psi at hot idle too. I put on a spin-on filter adapter about six months ago. After that, I had much lower pressure and had to adjust the pressure relief screw to get where I am now. I can't remember ever being worried about my oil pressure before the conversion so I've been thinking about going back to the original configuration to see if my pressure improves. Anybody else seen this with a filter adapter?

Its not the spin on, I had the spin on installed on the old engine with 40lb at hot idle.
