Hi all does anyone have some good pic showing how the brake lines and rubber bumpers are held down on a 1961 tr3.

There was a thread about this on here a few months ago, but I can't find it. Hopefully these may help.

The ruber bumpers are held with wire. The brake lines are held with specila "pipe" clips check out the Moss catalog they show both. Might be in the Stanparts book also.

And here is a pic showing the brake line pipes and the wire on the rubber bumper. No, that is not the correct way to run that particular line, but thats the way I had to do it and THATS another story.

Nick,
Is all of that waxoyl...good coverage
That is several years' application of Waxoyl mixed with a generous quantity of road dirt, some of which is specially imported from Ireland!
It is a problem using the TR on damp, dirty roads. If I didn't protect the underside with Waxoyl the brake pipes, springs, etc would rust and the paint on the chassis and under-side of the body would chip badly.
I now have the dilema of an increasing depth of the Waxoyl/dirt layer. I guess that one day I will have to steam-clean it off and start again.

Thanks all and I was looking in my catalogue for the clamp that holds the brake line to the housing , but could not find it. I knew there was a clamp or something, but I was in high school in the 60s and my memory can invent things. Perhaps, I will look in the online catalogue for it. In addition, it looks like the bracket that hold the brake line up on the housing runs parallel the axel housing? Mine has a little twist in it; it was probably bent somewhere along the way.

Isn't the clip on the diff housing welded on there? I hope it is not as that will make changing the gasket on my diff a lot easier.

Mines welded on. I'm sure they all are. You don't have to bend the brake pipe far out of the way to get the rear diff cover off. It's basically a non-issue.
